Galway Pumpkin Patch takes place on the scenic grounds of Castletaylor Estate in Ardrahan in South Galway. Each Halloween season we welcome thousands of visitors from all corners of Ireland to our Pumpkin Patch. We are proud to have been the first Pumpkin Patch to open on the Western seaboard and have added multiple attractions to our event to make it a memorable day for both young and the young at heart! In 2023 we also added Sunflower Picking to our calendar of events and that too has been well received. Tickets for Sunflower Picking are available at the gate, while tickets for the Pumpkin Patch will go on sale in early September. Indeed, the popularity of the Pumpkin Patch is such that it has sold out every year since its inception in 2018. See below for a flavour of what the event is about.
Pumpkins (obviously!)
Pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere! Pumpkins of all colours shapes and sizes are available at the Patch – you will certainly have no problem sourcing your perfect pumpkin whether its for carving or simply decorative purposes.
Meet our Farm Animals
Without doubt our most popular attraction. We have goats, sheep (lots of unusual varieties), a Shetland pony, and some very beautiful chickens in our Hen House!

We have lots of games for young (and not so young!) to enjoy. These include Crazy Golf, Bowling, Ball in the Bucket, Ring the Bull, Throw the Beanbag and lots more!

In 2022 we added a toddlers playground which incorporates lots of fun elements to keep those little bees busy! From messy play at the mud kitchens, to games such as giant 4 in a row, a tyre tunnell and two digger areas, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
